EIA Connector
The EIA connector known as the Electronic Industries Association connector, EIA was an American standards and trade organization , now their name is ECIA( Electronic component Industry association). EIA connector mostly used in high power radio frequency transmission, like broadcast industry for antenna, filter, combiner etc.
The connector named by the abbreviation EIA, EIA issue the standard RS-225 for rigid coaxial transmission line 50OHMS in 1959, RS-259 for rigid coaxial transmission line 75 OHMS in 1962. IEC issued the international standard IEC 60339-2 in 1996, the general purpose rigid coaxial transmission lines and their associated flange connectors. Although EIA flange connectors were originally intended for use with rigid air lines only, they are currently available in a number of additional styles and variants, suitable for use with semi-flexible cables having convoluted outer conductors.
