SMA Connector
Brief
SMA connectors are a type of coaxial connector that was developed in the 1960s for use in high-frequency microwave and millimeter-wave applications. They are named for their screw-type mating mechanism, which allows for a secure connection between two SMA connectors. SMA connectors are commonly used in a wide range of applications, including telecommunications, networking, military and aerospace, medical equipment, and more.
Types of SMA
There are several different types of SMA connectors, including SMA male and SMA female connectors, as well as straight ,right-angle, flange mount, bulkhead mount, connectors. SMA connectors are also available in a variety of different lengths and configurations to suit different applications.
SMA connectors are also available in RP- male SMA and RP-female SMA versions. The RP(reverse polarization) connector commonly used for antenna application to secure the connection.
