Ultra Low Loss Amplitude Phase Stable Cable - UniFlex ULB400 Series

The phase fluctuations of its sub assemblies and components have grown increasingly sensitive in radio frequency and microwave systems. The linking backbone of these systems, cable assemblies, can be a significant source of poor system performance if suitable decisions are made when selecting and developing these components. The ePTFE material provides a previously unavailable choice with significantly superior phase performance than PTFE, Si02, or other traditional cables. This is crucial for many applications to get the needed results. Lower residual errors and uncertainties occur from a smaller amplitude of phase change and better phase tracking with changing temperatures.

Overview

A phase stable coaxial cable is a high-performance RF cable designed to minimize phase variation under changing environmental and mechanical conditions. Unlike standard coaxial cables, which can exhibit significant phase drift when exposed to temperature fluctuations, bending, or flexing, phase stable cables maintain consistent electrical length and performance, ensuring reliable signal integrity in demanding applications.

Features

  • Phase Stability: Engineered to reduce phase shift caused by temperature changes, flexure, or mechanical stress.

  • Frequency Range: Available in versions supporting DC up to 110 GHz and beyond, depending on design.

  • Construction: Uses low-loss dielectric materials (e.g., PTFE variants, expanded PTFE, or proprietary composites) and precision manufacturing for minimal variation.

  • Flexibility & Durability: Designed for repeated flexing, suitable for lab test environments, production testing, and field use.

  • Connector Options: Compatible with precision RF connectors such as SMA, 2.92 mm, 2.4 mm, 1.85 mm,1.0 mm and others.

Applications

  • Vector network analyzer (VNA) measurements

  • Automated test equipment (ATE)

  • High-frequency device characterization

  • Aerospace, defense, and satellite communication systems

  • network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes

  • RF/microwave test benches and calibration equipment

  • missile guidance, drones, and satellite payload systems

FAQ

Sample Delivery Time

Regular models require 15 days, while some complex connectors require 25 days.

Sample Fee

Most RF connectors are CNC-machined parts and do not require mold-making.

However, each part needs to be fine-tuned on the CNC machine. Typically, a single sample costs $200.

This fee will be refunded after a 5K bulk order.

Guarantee

Brass RF connectors come with a one-year warranty.

Stainless steel connectors come with a three-year warranty.

The lifespan also depends on the contact material  beryllium contacts offer better durability.

ROHS & REACH Compliance

Our products fully comply with ROHS & REACH regulations.

Does LENORF Offer Military-Grade Products?

Yes. We are honored to provide military-grade products with exceptionally stable quality.

MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity)

Regular connectors: 500 PCS

Adapters: 100 PCS

Military connectors: 100 PCS

Materials

Common materials include:

Body: Brass, stainless steel

Insulator: PTFE, PEEK

Contacts: Brass, phosphor bronze, beryllium copper

Other: Aluminum, titanium alloy

What is impedance, and why is 50 Ω or 75 Ω important?

Impedance matching prevents signal reflection and power loss. 50 Ω: Standard for RF communication, test equipment, aerospace, defense. 75 Ω: Standard for broadcast, video, and cable TV applications.

What materials are RF connectors made of?

Body: Brass, stainless steel, or beryllium copper (with nickel, gold, or silver plating). Insulator: PTFE, PE, or advanced low-loss dielectrics. Contacts: Gold-plated brass or beryllium copper for low resistance and durability.

Are RF connectors weatherproof?

Some RF connectors are designed with gaskets and sealing (e.g., N-type, 4.3-10) for outdoor telecom, antennas, and harsh environments. Indoor lab connectors (e.g., SMA, BNC) are usually not weatherproof unless specified.

What’s the difference between male and female RF connectors?

Male: Has a center pin and usually an outer thread or bayonet. Female: Has a receptacle (socket) for the center pin and matching thread. Some connectors (like SMA) can be confusing because “reverse polarity” (RP-SMA) swaps pin/socket configuration.
