MCX Connector Plug Crimp Right Angle For RG316 Cable

A snap-on locking mechanism is used on MCX 50 OHMS coaxial connectors. They're mostly used in fixed and wireless communication systems with RF cable connections up to 6 GHz. MCX connectors provide a high level of dependability, a long service life, and are simple to install. The PCB connectors are available in tape and reel packaging for automated board assembly, as well as blister packaging. For medical and aeronautical applications, we also provide a non-magnetic alternative.

Overview

The MCX connector series offers 50 ohm and 75 ohm options with broadband performance from DC up to 6 GHz. Designed for quick, reliable connections, MCX connectors feature a secure snap-on/snap-off coupling mechanism that simplifies assembly and disassembly. Introduced in the 1980s, these compact connectors provide a space-saving solution for high-frequency applications while maintaining signal integrity. MCX connectors comply with the European CECC 22220 standard, ensuring quality and consistency across applications. Ideal for RF, microwave, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes, missile guidance, drones, and satellite payload systems and data transmission systems, the MCX series combines durability, ease of use, and versatile electrical performance in a small form factor.

Features

  • Offers broadband performance with low reflection from DC to 6GHz.

  • Snap-on mating enables quick connection and disconnection, reducing installation time.

  • Compatible with a variety of miniature RG flexible coaxial cables, including semi-rigid types, giving designers flexibility in system layout and manufacturing.

  • Available in both 50OHMS and 75OHMS configurations to suit different application requirements.

FAQ

Sample Delivery Time

Regular models require 15 days, while some complex connectors require 25 days.

Sample Fee

Most RF connectors are CNC-machined parts and do not require mold-making.

However, each part needs to be fine-tuned on the CNC machine. Typically, a single sample costs $200.

This fee will be refunded after a 5K bulk order.

Guarantee

Brass RF connectors come with a one-year warranty.

Stainless steel connectors come with a three-year warranty.

The lifespan also depends on the contact material  beryllium contacts offer better durability.

ROHS & REACH Compliance

Our products fully comply with ROHS & REACH regulations.

Does LENORF Offer Military-Grade Products?

Yes. We are honored to provide military-grade products with exceptionally stable quality.

What’s the lifespan of an RF connector?

Connector durability is rated in mating cycles: General-purpose connectors (BNC, SMA): 500 cycles. Precision connectors (2.92 mm, 2.4 mm): 500 cycles or less. Rugged telecom connectors (N, 7/16 DIN): 500 cycles.

Can RF connectors be reused?

Yes, but performance degrades with wear. Precision connectors (used in test equipment) should be handled carefully—damage to threads or pins increases VSWR and insertion loss.

What’s the difference between threaded, bayonet, and push-on RF connectors?

Threaded (SMA, N, TNC): Secure, vibration-resistant. Bayonet (BNC): Quick connect/disconnect. Push-on (MCX, SMP): Ultra-fast, compact, used in high-density modules.

Are RF connectors interchangeable between brands?

Yes, if they follow the same standard (e.g., SMA-to-SMA). However, tolerances, plating, and dielectric quality vary — mixing low-quality and precision connectors can damage equipment.
